Neurona LLC ("Neurona," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Neurona Focus iOS application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, where that information stays, and the choices you have.

The short version

• Neurona Focus has no accounts and no Neurona server. What you do in the App stays on your iPhone.
• Screen Time data stays on your device. The apps you choose to block, the apps you track, and your usage totals are processed on your iPhone by Apple's Screen Time framework and are never sent to Neurona or anyone else.
• The only information that leaves your device is anonymous crash and usage diagnostics, sent to Sentry, our error-monitoring provider. They never include your goals, your app selections, or your Screen Time usage.

1. Information stored on your device

The App keeps the following in its private storage on your iPhone:

• Focus sessions: when they started and ended, how long they lasted, the goal you typed, and whether you said you accomplished it.
• Plan My Day goals.
• Your settings, reminders, and onboarding answers (for example, your focus intents and preferred focus time).
• Your distracting-app and social-app selections. iOS provides these to the App as opaque tokens; the App cannot read which apps they are.

This information is never uploaded to Neurona or to anyone else. Deleting the App deletes it. You can also delete it while keeping the App by using Erase All My Data in Profile.

2. Screen Time data

The App uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity) to:

• let you pick the apps, categories, and websites to block during a focus session;
• block them while a session is running and unblock them when it ends;
• show how much time you spent today in the social apps you chose to track.

Screen Time data stays on your device. Apple designed the Screen Time framework so that apps like ours never see which apps you selected or how you use them: selections are opaque tokens, and usage totals are drawn inside an Apple-protected report that runs in a separate sandbox with no network access. The App does not copy usage totals into its own database, and it does not collect, store on any server, transmit, share, or sell any Screen Time data. Screen Time data is never used for advertising or analytics.

You control this access. You can revoke it at any time in Settings › Screen Time › Apps with Screen Time Access. Erase All My Data keeps the access but forgets your selections.

3. Crash and usage diagnostics (Sentry)

To keep the App reliable, it sends crash reports and usage diagnostics to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), a service provider that processes this information on our behalf. This includes:

• crash reports and error traces;
• app version, build environment, iOS version, device model, and whether Low Power Mode is on;
• performance measurements, such as how long the App takes to launch, for a sample of launches;
• usage events, such as: the App was opened; a focus session started or ended; whether blocking was on; the session length as a range (for example, 30 to 60 minutes); which onboarding step was completed; whether a permission was granted or denied; a reminder was created;
• a random install ID that identifies this installation of the App, not you.

Diagnostics never include the goals you type, your Plan My Day goals, your app selections, your Screen Time usage totals, your name, email, contacts, location, or anything else that identifies you personally. The install ID is generated at random, is not linked to your Apple ID or any account, and is replaced when you use Erase All My Data, so earlier reports can no longer be linked to your phone.

Diagnostics are sent over encrypted connections (TLS) and are retained by Sentry for up to 90 days. Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.

4. Notifications

Reminders and end-of-session alerts are local notifications scheduled on your device. The App does not use push notifications and does not send your notification settings anywhere.

5. Links to our store

The App links to our online store at getneurona.com. If you tap through, the store's own privacy policy applies. The App only records that the link was tapped (as a usage event described above), not what you view or buy.

6. What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
• We do not show ads, and we do not share data with advertisers, marketing partners, or data brokers.
• We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Sentry is the only third-party service in the App.
• We do not require or offer accounts or logins.
• We do not read Apple Health data.
• We do not use your data to train AI models.

7. Data retention and deletion

• On your device: data is kept for as long as the App is installed. Use Erase All My Data in Profile to delete it, or delete the App.
• At Sentry: diagnostics are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted. Because they are keyed to a random install ID, we cannot tie them to you; erasing your data rotates the ID.
• On request: email us to ask a question or to request deletion of anything we may hold about you. We respond within 30 days.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because the App keeps your data on your device and we hold only anonymous diagnostics, you exercise most of these rights directly in the App. For anything else, email us at the address below.

9. Security

Your on-device data is protected by iOS's built-in encryption and the App's sandbox. Diagnostics are encrypted in transit. We do not store your data on Neurona servers.

10. Children's privacy

Neurona Focus is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

11. Earlier app: Neurona Coach

Neurona Focus replaces our earlier app, Neurona Coach. If you used Neurona Coach: with your permission it read Apple Health data (sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, and workouts) solely to generate recommendations inside that app, and it used an email login handled by Amazon Cognito. That data was never sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train external AI models. To have any remaining Neurona Coach account data deleted, email us at the address below and we will delete it within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the App.
